In this video I am interviewed by Kate Crow for a series called WINNING AT LIFE. I get very personal in sharing about times in my life when I was anything but winning. And yet, as I spell out here, inevitably these kinds of breakdowns do turn into breakthroughs.
Overall, in this interview, I chose to address how “losing at life” can double as a version of winning at life. Because loss—hellacious as it is to go through—brings silver linings, hidden blessings, added wisdom, timely shifts of our priorities, and all-important redirects on our life path.

MY SHORT FILM
While traveling throughout Bali, Indonesia and its surrounding islands, my daughter, Anatola, and I created a short film. We named it Light and Dark, and in it we explore our personal truths, interlaced with universal truths. We hope it will provide you with food for thought, a feast for your eyes, and fuel for your soul.
